NASA Announces Nicola Fox as New Science Chief

She will oversee some of the agency’s best-known programs.

The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) announced last week that solar scientist Nicola Fox will lead their well-known Science Mission Directorate, effective immediately. The agency’s core research unit operates with a $7 billion annual budget, allowing them to operate the James Webb Space Telescope, explore Mars, and detect and characterize Unidentified Aerial Phenomena.

Director Fox was formerly the top scientist for the Parker Solar Probe mission, where she studied how the activity of the sun affects planets and satellites. “She has been instrumental in making this complex area accessible to the public,” said NASA chief Bill Nelson. “Her work already spans so many areas of importance to the agency.”

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For Nicola Fox as she assumes her new role.
  • For Administrator Nelson to seek God’s guidance as he heads NASA.
